Dearth of coverage of Quinn Direct court challenge

I mentioned yesterday the Value Ireland analysis of the overcharging by many Irish companies of Irish consumers – the article is here.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been hearing on the radio about a Quinn Direct challenge to a Financial Service Ombudsman decision that they were allegedly incorrectly charging customers to change insurance from one car to another.

Apparently, according to radio reports, Quinn were levying a €25 charge to move insurance, but that this charge wasn’t detailed anywhere in their terms and conditions, and was therefore something they shouldn’t actually have been charging.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any newspaper coverage of this court case or any more details of this alleged overcharging.
