@john o’neill – Thanks for the comment John – but could one not use Laser cards to pay for items online, or the 3v card? I’ve also ordered items online where I’ve posted a cheque prior to delivery.

@GreenInk – with the current pork fiasco, the pork sausages had to be replaced by the sausage dog.

Why don’t you just stay indoors? Keep the heating off? Sell anything non-essential on ebay? Don’t give anyone presents? Eat only essential nutrients and nothing ‘fancy’ that tastes nice?

I’ll tell you why none of us will do that — because life would be shit.

All the online payment methods I have used involve a credit card somewhere along the line such as with pay pal where you lodge to paypal with credit card. Is these a non credit card online payment system?

@Jamie – Thanks for your comments Jamie – obviously differing opinions welcome.

With regards to your health insurance, there is a stage in peoples lives where it might be valid not to have it – but obviously in your experience, or as your risk of illness increases, there are times when it’s necessary.

I too spend a significant period of time without a TV – it has it’s benefits. I don’t see how suggesting someone does without it is bad advice.

You don’t need a credit card to purchase online – there are other options to pay online for items that don’t cost you upwards on 20% interest.

Green Ink – You had to pass the censorship of the better half here to get that tip about eating dogs published.
