Dunnes Saver Stamp Card – probably worth ignoring

You’ll see these leaflets being pushed more and more inside Dunnes Stores outlets these days. It’s likely that lots of people will be attracted to them, particularly as you can save money in units of €2 at a time.

While saving for a rainy day (if it hasn’t arrived already) is to be commended, there are probably better ways to do this. These savings cards can only be redeemed in Dunnes Stores, so you’re really giving the money to Dunnes Stores rather than saving money for yourself.

And, like gift vouchers that we recommended that you avoid before Christmas, if Dunnes Stores were to go bust before you get to cash in your savings, you’re unlikely to get your money back.

So, avoid!
