Meteor Mobile will refund €14k in bill error

Mobile phone provider Meteor has confirmed that it has overcharged 350 customers. The amounts varied, but according to Meteor, they averaged out at around €40. This equates to the customers being overcharged €14,000 as a whole.

The problem occurred when they were upgrading their billing system. Meteor has said that all of the relevant customers were contacted as they recognised the problem.
Meteor was inundated with calls from angry customers who had to wait for long periods on hold until they got to voice their concerns.
