you got there first. Wild Onion, Limerick
YAAY! Wild Onion, We love you!
These guys are the best! The food is superb, and reasonably priced, the
coffee is absolutely amazing! The service is the best I've ever seen in a
restaurant.
Bob and Ruth are two of the nicest people that you could possibly meet,
Girlfriend and I have been going to the Wild Onion for about 2 years now,
we're regular, when they see us coming our orders are started! They are
great with kids too, and have this lovely leave a book take a book ethic
going on!
Try it out! Get in before 1 O'Clock, otherwise the place is jampacked with
very happy customers, even if it is too busy they will find room for you!

was recently told I needed windscreen wipers for my car !! Oh no I thought.
Until I called in to Autocare in Bray - where they did not treat me like a
stupid female not did they try to overcharge me because I didnt know
anything about my car.
They even fitted the wiperblades for me
Excellent place, nice , friendly staff |

Aubar's Brunch Menu, Limerick
After spending hours one Bank Holiday Monday trying to
find somewhere, anywhere to eat we tried Aubar's though we were sure it was
closed. Put a sign outside lads, we won't know otherwise. Maybe even a menu
too if that's not too far-out. Anyway, they serve a brunch menu on weekends
& BH until 9pm. Brilliant. It's good food too, ranging from sandwiches etc.
to baked salmon & pasta dishes. I had the steak sandwich which was served on
a bed of caesar(y) salad. Good thinking chef, a cracking combination.
Between this and Hush next door, Aubar's are definitely hitting the spot. |

La Piccola Italia, O'Connell St.
La Piccola has been a popular spot in Limerick for a
long time now & it's pretty easy to see why. The three of us got through 2
pizzas, 1 (large) steak, 2 portions of garlic bread, 1 dessert, 1 bottle of
wine & 3 espressos all for a little over €75.
Yes the service was a little slow & they don't serve each person at the same
time but I have a suspicion this was unusual & not the norm. At all times
the staff were cheerful & honest about any delays etc.
(Note: There are two separate restaurants here, we ate in the cheaper
Pizzeria) |

Suppers Ready, Clontarf
This is a little bit off the beaten track, but
thought it was worth a mention - not a restaurant tip, but a takeaway with a
difference. As the catchphrase says "freshly prepared modern food for you to
enjoy now or later".
Wide ranging menu which they´ll deliver hot or cold (your choice) to your
door. Admittedly they charge extra for heating your meal, but you can always
order it cold & heat it up in your own microwave. Ideal for when you´re not
in the mood to cook or heading out for the night. Friendly & helpful staff
in the Clontarf branch and delivery with a smile. Have been abroad for a few
months - looks as if they´ve added to the menu while I´ve been
away......unfortunately no Suppers Ready out in this part of the world.
Check www.suppersready.ie for the lowdown (menu, prices etc). |

The Leopardstown Inn
This is a pretty decent place for lunch, mid-week or
even early on a Sunday.
For a tenner you get a decent feed of food, fairly tasty if basic menu, and
pretty good service as well.
Nothing fancy, and the place can seem a bit dark even during the day, but
all in all, definitely worth the money.
Given a choice between there and Bewleys which I've tried for lunch too, the
Lep will win out hands down. |
