Aidan O’Mahony and his use to the Kerry team

As a little aside, in what might be the GAA opposite to the rugby mantra of “one in, all in” when it comes to trouble on the pitch, maybe Aidan O’Mahony has a special role within the Kerry team after his actions a couple of weeks ago.

Fainting goats are added into a herd of normal goats in case the herd comes under attack. In cases of such an attack, the fainting goat falls over – and therefore is sacraficed to the hunter – while the rest of the goats escape safely.

Maybe it’s all a ploy in advance of the expect onslaught when they’re playing Tyrone in the upcoming All Ireland Final.
