Eddie asserts his consumer rights

Here’s an article from yesterdays Irish Independent telling how Eddie Hobbs received and out of court settlement from a furniture supplier becausey the supposedly supplied defective furniture.

According to Mr.Hobbs:

Most consumers just sit and complain after they’ve purchased goods they’re unhappy with but there are avenues open under the Sales of Goods and Suppliers of Services Act which can offer some form of redress.

Unfortunately, most consumers don’t have the financial wherewithal to actually take a supplier to court and are therefore limited to the Small Claims Court which only works with claims up to €2,000.
